UPD’s first involvement in third party distribution took place in 1999, when it entered into a sole distribution arrangement with one of its Wholesale Clients as an extension of existing services. In 2005 UPD established a dedicated Distribution division to cater for the specialised needs of manufacturers who required warehousing, debtors administration and distribution services.
UPD Distribution are experts in fine and bulk distribution of branded and generic pharmaceuticals to amongst others, wholesalers, doctors, hospitals, the public healthcare sector, homeopaths, diagnostics, health shops, the public healthcare sector and exporting.
UPD Distribution operates as the Distribution Agent and is responsible for ensuring effective control of the distribution process and above all, brand integrity.
UPD Wholesale’s excellent service levels, delivered by their owner driver fleet, provide the perfect platform for UPD Distribution Clients to enhance cost efficiencies throughout their supply chain. The Wholesale operation is the only national wholesaler and market leader in both volume and value. They offer high levels of quality assurance, including meticulous batch tracking, compliance, quarantining, stringent temperature control, precise picking, packing and on-time delivery.
