About UPD - Skills & Development

UPD aims to provide skills development programmes to assist it's staff with career development and organisational growth. These programmes are continuously adapted to ensure currency with industry standards.

1. Implementation of Learnerships at NQF level 3 Generic Management, Cape Town Branch started in June 2009, course offered by PMI.
   
   
2. Implementation of Wholesale and Retail Distribution qualification at NQF level 2 in Bloemfontein, Durban, Port Elizabeth and Lea Glen July 2009, course offered by PMI.
   
   
3. Leadership course for Middle Management - course called Nine Conversations in Leadership, course deals with the company mission, vision, values, developing self and individuals and teams and how to energise oneself - planned start date is September 2009, course offered by Worldsview.
   
   
4. Implementation of Mission Directed Work Teams, course deals with issues of Productivity, Morale, Innovation, Speed, Cost effectiveness and elimination of waste, course aimed for all staff and more especially bridging communication channels and creating alignment with business objectives.
